Finally Quit Checking Email Every Minute

After being an email addict for God-knows how many years, I finally decided to do something about it.
I've had some runs to unclutter my email. It's involved setting up email rules to filter mails on various criteria, using folders for urgent emails (do they exist??), paused and archived emails etc.
Tim Ferriss - you got me started
After reading several blog posts from Tim Ferriss, I decided to buy his book called The 4-hour Work Week. I did actually visit his blog a year or so ago, but it didn't stick with me. I guess I wasn't ready to take the plunge yet, or realized how profound his advice really is.
Chop, chop - email down to twice a day
Even before receiving the book yesterday, I decided to chop my email reading dramatically. From (like Tim) having checked my email a gazilion times a day (to the point of being complulsive about it), I now check mail at 11:45 and 15:00. OK, so I have broken down and checked a few times on my iPhone during the evening. But it's like a drug addiction, right? You don't just quit all at once without having some trouble.
